Women in Local Democracy

This consultation has concluded."

Women In Local Democray (WILD) women is a forum to promote discussion about women in local democracy. It is a place to share our thoughts and ideas about what needs to happen to  increase the  participation of women in local community leadership.  It is also a place to recognize and celebrate the wonderful contribution of women to our local community at every level.

2010 was the Year of Women in Local Government. In recognition of this year  Yarra Ranges Council became a signatory  to the Women's Charter ( see link below).

We hope that the thoughts and ideas generated here will continue to be part of community conversation about  strengthening women's leadership in Yarra Ranges throughout 2011 and beyond.

Please add your thoughts and ideas to the discussion topics below, interact with other participants and take five seconds to complete our quick poll.
